Why is my LipSense flaking or patchy?
Patchy or flaking LipSense® almost always traces to one of three technique causes: surface residue on the lips, layers applied too thickly, or back-and-forth strokes. The correction is a clean reset and a thin rebuild.
Balm, oil, or wax can interrupt contact with clean, dry lips. Remove the uneven color with Ooops!™, clear every trace of residue, then rebuild with the complete protocol: Clean lips → Shake horizontally → Apply 3 thin layers → Allow to dry between layers → Seal with gloss. Sweep each color layer from corner to corner in one direction so the Permeable Polymer Matrix can form without backtracking through the wet film.
Let each layer set with lips parted, then finish with compatible LipSense® Moisturizing Gloss before pressing the lips together. The look you want back is an even color film with no heavy ridges, a comfortable Gloss finish, and clean edges that stay visually continuous.
