How LipSense color holds
A whisper-thin LipSense® pass feels cool while it is still wet. As the cosmetic alcohol flashes off, polymers and pigment settle into a thin, flexible color film that moves with the lips. Begin on a completely clean, dry lip. Let her notice the visible and tactile change from wet color to a set film; the cool feeling is the cue. Keep every pass whisper-thin, move forward instead of brushing back through wet color, and wait until the color is dry before finishing with compatible LipSense Moisturizing Gloss for slip and comfort.

The Permeable Polymer Matrix gives the set film breathability instead of an occlusive seal. Alcohol Denat., named in the current US ingredient list, is the volatile carrier. When it evaporates, polymers and pigment settle into a flexible film on the lip surface. In the current selected Chai shade, the declared botanicals include Tree Peony, St. John's Wort, and Linden Flower; shade declarations can vary, so use the exact label for the shade in hand. Because the matrix holds pigment while remaining permeable to the conditioners in Moisturizing Gloss, comfort and shine can be refreshed without lifting the color underneath.
Color, Gloss, and Remover
Keep all three formulas within reach because each has a different moment. Liquid Lip Color builds the wear in thin passes. Moisturizing Gloss goes over dry color for comfort and the finish you choose. Ooops! Remover uses its precision wand for one corrected edge or for the full lip at removal.
In the current Glossy finish, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter supports the hydrating, conditioning feel. You can refresh that comfort without rebuilding the color, then take the color off gently with the formula made for it.

Apply LipSense in five steps
Give the color a bare, dry surface and a steady direction.
Clean and dry the lips completely, then shake the Color vigorously. Apply three whisper-thin passes. Each one travels in a single continuous stroke from corner to corner—never scrubbed back and forth—and each one sets before the next begins. Once the third pass is dry, apply compatible Gloss generously.
Preparation, layer thickness, setting time, conditions of wear and individual response can all affect the experience. The hand remembers it simply: clean, shake, three passes, Gloss.

Keep the lips parted and carry the applicator in one direction without dragging it back through wet pigment. The cool moment during every whisper-thin pass is the setting cue; when that feeling disappears, the layer is set and the next can begin. Gloss waits until the third layer is fully set.

Uniform color comes from what the hand does. Whisper-thin passes prevent ridges and pooled pigment. One-direction movement protects the edge and leaves the forming film intact. Letting a pass set allows that layer to link before another arrives. Pressing the lips together or brushing backward through unset color can create gaps, streaks and bunching. Once the third pass no longer moves, Gloss belongs on top.

When one edge needs cleaning up, put remover on that edge—not friction across the whole lip. Dip the Ooops! precision wand, gently work the applicator over the color and wipe clean with tissue. Use the same directed method across the full lip at the end of wear.
One small correction or the entire color film: the wand lets you place Ooops! exactly where it is needed.
