Why doesn’t SeneGence use outer product cartons?

For less packaging to discard, SeneGence omits unnecessary individual retail outer cartons. SeneGence reports that more than 1.2 million individual retail outer cartons were not used from the start of tracking in 2002 through its 2026 report.

Omitting them is source reduction: packaging avoided because it is never made, not recycled after one use. The bottle or label still carries the product information, so the formula remains identifiable without a presentation box that is opened once and discarded. Shipping and fulfillment materials still protect products in transit.

This Naked Bottle choice is one practical part of the SeneGence Green Initiative. The carton count measures packaging avoided, not a full lifecycle or carbon-footprint result.
