Complexion Preparation and Finish

A composed complexion begins before color and ends with a finish chosen on purpose.

Build the surface you want—softly blurred, naturally even, luminous, or quietly set—by giving preparation, coverage, correction, light, and finish their own jobs.

01 · Prepare

The quiet blur before color

You want a complexion that already looks smoother and more composed before the first veil of color.

What gets in the way

Visible pores, fine lines, and excess surface oil can interrupt that even canvas and make the layers above feel less seamless.

The designed formula

MakeSense® Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer is a water-containing, silicone-forward primer emulsion hybrid; that material description does not claim a continuous phase.

Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Extract — a clover extract that helps reduce the appearance of enlarged pores for smoother-looking texture

On the skin

The finish feels velvety, helps makeup glide on evenly, softens the look of pores and imperfections, absorbs excess oil, and leaves the complexion more matte.

Its place in the system

additive

Complete skincare first. When Climate Control belongs in the routine, it goes before serums and moisturizer. Finish DayTime Moisturizer, keep labeled sun protection as its own step, then apply a thin layer of MakeSense® Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer before MakeSense® Original Foundation or CCTM.

Preparation changes the surface; it does not replace moisture, labeled sun protection, or the coverage choice that follows.

02 · Refresh

A veil of light, not glitter

You want fresh radiance that catches light delicately, whether the skin is bare or the complexion is complete.

What gets in the way

A flat finish can mute dimension, while coarse sparkle can make illumination feel separate from the skin.

The designed formula

Glowify® Illuminating Moisture Mist is a water-and-glycerin facial and body mist with light-reflecting mica; the source supports that spray architecture without assigning an emulsion phase.

Mica — a finely milled, light-reflecting mineral that gives a sheer, natural-looking glow rather than a glittery effect

On the skin

The mist is airy, light, and refreshing, settling into a sheer dewy finish with a grapefruit scent.

Its place in the system

alternative

Shake thoroughly, close the eyes, and mist from 8 to 12 inches away in even sweeping motions. Use it over makeup to help set and glow, or on bare face or body for natural-looking radiance.

This is an illumination choice, not a required primer or a substitute for moisturizer.

03 · Build

Coverage with room to breathe

You want a naturally flawless-looking complexion with coverage that can move from a soft veil toward a more complete finish.

What gets in the way

Coverage can look heavy when opacity, spread, and finish are treated as the same decision.

The designed formula

Across the verified current shades, MakeSense® Original Foundation is a water-containing, silicone-forward emulsion hybrid. The shades do not all share the same secondary materials, so no continuous phase or universal ingredient hero is claimed.

On the skin

The liquid foundation feels weightless, smooth, and silky, with buildable coverage and a natural-looking, non-caking, non-streaking finish.

Its place in the system

conditional

Apply over moisturized, primed skin with a brush, sponge, or clean fingertips. Choose it instead of CCTM when more buildable coverage is the goal, or layer it only where more coverage is wanted; add Translucent Loose Powder afterward when shine control is useful.

Coverage and finish make this choice—not a one-word water-versus-silicone shortcut.

04 · Even

The skin-like veil

You want visible tone to look more even while the complexion stays breathable, radiant, and recognizably yours.

What gets in the way

Discoloration and uneven tone may call for correction without requiring the opacity of a fuller foundation layer.

The designed formula

Across the ten shades with verified declarations, MakeSense® Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer is a water-containing, silicone-forward emulsion hybrid. The public vehicle statement is limited to those verified shades, and no continuous phase is claimed.

On the skin

CCTM feels lightweight, breathable, and silky, creating sheer-to-medium buildable correction with a natural-looking radiant, refined, skin-like finish.

Its place in the system

alternative

Apply after moisturizer and primer with a brush, sponge, or clean fingertips. Choose CCTM for lighter correction; use Corrective Color Concealer for targeted correction, add MakeSense® Original Foundation only when more coverage is wanted, and finish with Translucent Loose Powder when less shine or longer wear is the goal.

CCTM and MakeSense® Original Foundation share a hybrid architecture, but they answer different coverage and finish desires.

05 · Correct

Precision where the eye asks for it

You want targeted areas to recede into the complexion while the rest of the base remains untouched.

What gets in the way

Under-eye shadows, visible redness, and other areas of contrast do not always need another full-face layer.

The designed formula

Corrective Color Concealer is a water-containing, silicone-forward pigmented emulsion hybrid. The complete ingredient declaration supports that material description without establishing a continuous phase.

Sodium Hyaluronate — a water-binding form of hyaluronic acid that attracts and retains moisture

On the skin

The highly pigmented concealer feels creamy and blendable, building toward full coverage while keeping a natural-looking blend.

Its place in the system

conditional

Stipple a small amount onto the targeted area before or after MakeSense® Original Foundation, then build in light layers only if needed. A touch of foundation can follow to merge fuller correction into the base.

Correction is local and optional; it does not require raising coverage everywhere.

06 · Illuminate

Liquid light, placed by instinct

You want luminosity that seems to rise from the complexion rather than sit above it.

What gets in the way

Highlight can feel disconnected when reflection is coarse, placement is rigid, or the finish cannot merge with the base.

The designed formula

MakeSense® Pearlizer is a water-containing, silicone-forward liquid-highlighter emulsion hybrid with light-reflecting pigment. Its declaration supports that material architecture without confirming a continuous phase.

Mica — a light-reflecting mineral that gives the skin sheer radiance

On the skin

The liquid feels smooth and blendable, gliding into a dewy, fresh, lit-from-within finish with long-lasting, water-resistant wear.

Its place in the system

alternative

Wear it after moisturizer on bare skin, mix a few drops into MakeSense® Original Foundation or CCTM for all-over luminosity, or place it after the base on high points of the face and body.

Mixing changes the whole field of light; targeted placement brings selected features forward.

07 · Set

The last decision is finish

You want the complexion to look refined and softly diffused, with shine controlled only where you choose.

What gets in the way

A heavy final layer can collect in fine lines or flatten the dimension built underneath.

The designed formula

Translucent Loose Powder uses a talc-free loose-powder architecture led by starch, mineral powder, and light-diffusing materials; it is not classified as an emulsion.

Zea Mays (Corn) Starch — a fine powder that helps mattify and absorb visible shine

On the skin

The powder feels fluffy, light, and weightless. Matte setting shades leave a soft-matte, diffused finish without visible buildup in fine lines; shimmer shades add radiance and color.

Its place in the system

conditional

For a setting shade, use it as the final step: pick up a small amount with a brush, tap off excess, and dust it across the full face or only where shine needs to recede. Shimmer shades belong on the cheeks or wherever radiance is wanted.

Setting is conditional: preserve radiance where you want it and refine only the areas that need a quieter finish.
